I saw these women sitting at a bar inside a big food court in Madrid, and I loved the quality of the light, which felt pink to me. I was also fascinated by the reflections and the shapes of the objects on the bar; how they became abstracted by the bright light eating away at them. My friend Cindy Mason came up with the name!
